Diego’s and halo team up to raise funds for local hiv/aids outreach program
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
GRASS VALLEY, CA, December 13, 2016 – On Saturday, December 17, 2016, Diego’s will donate 10% of all sales for that day to HALO (HIV/AIDS Local Outreach) to support Nevada County residents living with HIV/AIDS.
HIV/AIDS has touched many lives, some more directly than others. Diego’s keeps the memories of those lost from this terrible disease in our hearts and continue to have hope for those currently living with HIV/AIDS.
“Giving back to our community is an important part of our business model. We regularly work with local non-profits to raise awareness and much needed funds for their programs. HALO does wonderful work with their HIV/AIDS outreach program for people right here in Nevada County and we are happy and humbled to help support them this month.” – June Atkinson, Diego’s Owner
HALO (HIV/AIDS Local Outreach) is the collaboration between HIV Care Services and Unity in the Gold Country Spiritual Center. HALO was launched in 2010 to address gaps in funding and help meet the urgent needs of people living with HIV/AIDS in Nevada County. HALO provides many services including dental care, vision care, hearing aids, pharmaceutical supplies, food, winter coats, children’s clothes and supplies and more.
“HALO appreciates Diego’s investment in our community and for taking a leadership role in the helping compassionate support for those living with HIV/AIDS in Nevada County. Our supporters show their heart, generosity and spirit raising funds of love, kindness and understanding and we feel that Diego’s exudes all of that in their restaurant and their support for our community.” – HALO
